Overview
As part of the WaterWoman Project, WaterRising Institute hosted the Gender and Youth Hub to bring young people into water careers. The day's programming featured leaders from utilities, private industry, associations, NGOs, and philanthropy talking about water management's role in public and environmental health, and the technology taking the water sector digital.
Discussion focused on how water jobs can provide sustainable careers and prosperity, especially for women and people of color, from inside the communities the water sector serves. Attendees included STEM students, young professionals, and mid-career workers from the NYC metropolitan area.
