Dynamic Artist Website

Goal

Build painter Laine Bachman a web presence that gives her work room to breathe and matches the quality of the paintings themselves.

Technical execution

I built the site end-to-end as the full-stack developer. The stack:

• Front-end framework: Nuxt 4 (building on prior Nuxt 3 JAM Stack work)
• Styling: TailwindCSS
• Language: TypeScript
• Headless CMS: Directus

The structure lets the paintings do the talking and keeps the chrome out of the way.

Outcome

The site works in concert with her gallery representation in Asheville, NC — a professional online presence that sits alongside the business and marketing the gallery runs. The paintings get a stage; the artist gets a place that's hers.
